THE GREAT JUNGLE JOURNEY
June 17-21; 6:00-8:30 PM
Grades: Completed K5-6th
Children are faced with important questions every day: Did God really create everything? Why do bad things happen? Was Noah’s ark real? Why do I need to be saved? Can I trust the Bible?
In this year's Great Jungle Journey VBS, your kids will explore how the Bible answers these questions as they set off on an epic adventure from Genesis to Revelation. Amid sloths, butterflies, river dolphins, and dart frogs, your children will sail along on a fun jungle cruise, stopping at seven ports of call. These ports are the 7 C’s of History: Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ, Cross, and Consummation. Kids will discover how these events shape our world, and they will learn to reconnect the Bible to their everyday life.
Prepare to swing into fun as we head out on The Great Jungle Journey! Adventure and Fun awaits each day when the kids meet and enter the auditorium for the Jungle Jam Assembly time which includes lively songs, contests, skits, animal pal videos, and more!
After that, it's off to cruise through four rotation sites:
Rain or Shine Bible Time
Canopy Cafe Snacks
Rainforest Recreation Games
Tree-mendous Crafts and Science
Before going home, kids will meet again the Jungle Jam Closing Assembly which includes a message from a special jungle missionary, some more lively music, and of course, a visit to the VBS River Cruise Souvenir Shop where you'll get to spend the Cruise Cash you've earned throughout the week!
Children who have completed Kindergarten thru those who currently completed 6th grade are welcome to join us for The Great Jungle Journey for a fun week with plenty of Cool Contests and prizes! Too young to attend this year? No worries, those who haven't completed Kindergarten yet can join in on the Forest Fun Day on Friday evening and even earn Cruise Cash to spend in the River Cruise Souvenir Shop!
